After obtaining a B.S. in Business from Kansas University and brief service in the United States Air Force, Dee came to Denver to attend the Law School at the University of Denver. Since he obtained his J.D., in 1963, he has been practicing in the downtown Denver area. He also maintains an office at 12600 West Colfax Avenue, Suite A-180 in Lakewood.

He is active in several civic organizations and speaks to business organizations, civic clubs and church groups on estate planning and related areas. His practice has been in wills, trusts and probate, real property law and construction law.
